Sabrina's Cafe operates three locations in Philly, one at the Italian Market in South Philly (pictured), one in the Fairmount section, and one in Powelton Village near the Drexel campus. Their cafe in the Italian Market is always busy, but no more so than for Sunday brunch when there can be a bit of a wait to get a table. That's because the food is inexpensive, the portions are huge, and the brunch menu is exceptional. Pictured are the gigantic whole wheat pancakes and the Tuscan chicken sandwich with sun-dried tomato pesto. My friend who is a picky eater couldn't stop raving about the sandwich, and I really enjoyed my pancakes, with a side of vegetarian sausage.
The cafe serves lunch and dinner as well, and all are BYOB. The Italian Market and Fairmount locations offer outdoor seating and are great spots for people watching. The Powelton Village location occupies a stunning turreted Victorian corner house.
