This photo was taken during my first trip to Montreal. It was a beautiful weekend in the summer and everyone was enjoying the city including being in bars and parties, drumming, playing in the streets, frolicking in parks, etc. This was a chance photography. The moment came to me as I was struck by seeing this gentleman working in the middle of the day on a weekend erasing Graffiti from the side of a building. Besides the surprise of seeing him being the only one working (apart from the bartenders and waiters) on such a lovely day, I was also intrigued by the name of the street on which the Graffiti were drawn: Rue Saint Jean Baptiste. Saint Jean Baptiste was known for baptizing multitudes in water; hence, the irony was not lost on me regarding the baptismal this gentleman was giving the Graffitis. Touché ...
