There is a big difference between visiting a place as a tourist and feeling like a real local even if it's just temporary - as if you are at home. This is mainly the reason why I prefer staying in a real local apartment and not in a hotel, even thought the latter is rather fancy while I am traveling, (and I travel quite often).
I’ve been to Paris a few times recently, but on my latest visit I really felt like home there. Maybe because I can already find my way around in the Metro, I already recognize streets and locations, but it may also be because I stayed in one of the great apartments of Feels like Home in Paris.
While the apartment I stayed in is no longer available, Feels Like Home in Paris has a great variety of other accommodations such as the Paris Chic apartment in the 18th Arr. Fully equipped kitchen, free wi-fi, washer/dryer and even a Mac computer to use makes it all a comfortable relaxing stay. Not to mention the location of the apartment, a few steps away from butte de Montmartre is in the most artistic area of Paris.
