You never do know what you’ll find on the road – even right in your own backyard. Afton, Wyoming, is only a few hundred miles from my town of Sheridan, Wyoming, but this was my first visit to this beautiful little pocket of Wyoming’s southwest.
I decided to try something new when I entered Rocky Mountain Seafood. Wyoming isn’t exactly known for oceanic fare, but maybe that’s because folks don’t know about Afton. I dined on fresh coconut shrimp and a trio of fish tacos – delicious, rustic fare that left me plotting my way through the rest of the menu.
Tiny little Afton, tucked into the heart of Star Valley, is one of those destinations you don’t soon forget, while Rocky Mountain Seafood will go down as a most excellent and unexpected road trip surprise.
