Ricard's Brasserie just opened in the winter of 2013 in the prime location down at base village in Snowmass Village. With afternoon light on the patio it is great place to dine on a warm spring day. It is one of the few places in Snowmass that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The inside is elegantly appointed with a reminiscence of an 1800's ski lodge. Executive Chef, Tim Goodell was listed as one of Food and Wine's "Best New Chefs". His menu consists of the classic French fare with Oysters, House-made Charcuterie, Chicken Liver Terrine. Everything that I have tried has been tasty. The burger had a zesty twist and the brussels sprouts were excellent. If I can suggest a dessert it would be the Rocky Road, a melted combination of chocolate ice cream, marshmallows, walnuts drizzled with chocolate sauce. After a long day of skiing belly up to the bar and chat with one of the lovely bartenders as you watch the crowds of people come off the ski slope.
