Chez Vrony was committed to locavore cuisine way before it became a foodie buzzword. This family-run restaurant has been serving rustic fare fresh from the land in the mountain village of Findeln for over 100 years. Cured meat is a house specialty, so order a charcuterie plate to start. The air-dried beef comes from cattle raised on the property’s lush Alpine grass, and the pungent cheese is made in-house as well. The modern interior is a welcome contrast to the region’s ubiquitous chalet aesthetic, but for the best atmosphere ask for a seat on the terrace with Matterhorn views.
