For $5 the Red Onion Saloon offers historic tours of the upstairs brothel and a ghost tour exploring characters that still haunt the old bar.
This image is the Madame's room and was the most luxurious while the prostitutes had to sleep in very small rooms each accompanied with a a hole and pipe in the floor used for the coins the women were paid up front. If the bar tender didn't hear the clink of the coins he would know that there was trouble.
Buried beneath the floors were many keepsakes that the women would hide from each other in case of a thief being among them. Often the items hidden were objects that reminded them of their lives back home. Ex. an image of the virgin Mary, a bible, photos etc.
