When couple sommelier team Kelli White (pictured above) and Scott Brenner arrived in Napa Valley from New York City — where they guided two highly respected, international wine programs — they felt, understandably, a little constricted with the Napa-only wine list at Press restaurant in St. Helena. But they have done more than make the best of a challenging situation, building the deepest collection of Napa Valley wines in the world, including classics like the 1974 Heitz Martha’s Vineyard and the 1956 BV. Just browsing the list is a journey through Napa Valley history.
The collection — housed in a state-of-the-art wine cellar — also includes impressive verticals like 20 years of Dunn Howell Mountain and a decade of Corison. Many of the bottles were purchased directly from the winery — meaning they are in perfect condition.
