"Dossants" and so much more...Brunch in the Desert
So it turns out that "cronut" is trademarked by a certain New York restaurant...so in Tucson's "Prep and Pastry," you can have "dossants"--the same DOughnut-croiSSANT hybrid with just a different name. But there's more, so much more. Some might call this desert town's newest weekend brunch-temple on North Campbell a hipster hangout. So be it, but you don't have to a beard to enter. Yes, there are often lines...but they give you free coffee while you wait--from the local EXO roastery--and it is exceptionally good. Breakfast poutine, pork-belly breakfast sandwiches with fennel, monte cristos with mascarpone, and a veritable buffet of bloody mary options--all worth the wait!
