Point Pleasant Park
This wooded parkland wraps around the south end of the Halifax peninsula and really shows off the region's natural beauty. Once a hunting and fishing ground for the indigenous Mi'kmaq, and later a military bastion (you can still see ruins of various forts), it's now a popular recreational space for cyclists, runners and dog walkers. There's also a swimming beach and lookout points where you can watch boats enter and leave the harbor.
