Breathtaking Views and Tree-Covered Nights
Plumas-Eureka State Park, in the east slopes of the Sierra Nevada, is a refuge not only for camping, hiking, and exploring, but also an opportunity to experience California's fascinating history. A weekend up here also gets you to Donner Pass and Empire Mine within minutes, amongst other relics of days gone past that only this area can offer. But even if you don't make it out of the campgrounds, still be sure to bring your camera -- lakes, rolling cliffs, and abandoned mining houses dot the landscape at every turn.
