There’s something about Bulgarian trash bins. Empty or filled to the top with waste, I couldn’t stop pulling out my camera to snap these molded pieces of metal. Was I attracted to them because of their shape, similar to the one Sesame Street’s Oscar the Grouch lived in? Did that somehow transport me to fond memories of my childhood? Oscar always did make me laugh, so I guess when I see cylinder shaped metal trash bins, even in a country where I struggle to decipher a few letters of the Cyrillic alphabet, I get a bit excited and snap away.
