A Taste of Seattle
A Taste of Seattle
My boyfriend, Daniel, and I were visiting Seattle and since we had a few hours until boarding the Victoria Clipper to take us to Victoria, BC, we decided to walk over to nearby Pike Place Market to see what was in season and perhaps buy a snack for the boat ride ahead. The market was a feast for the senses; there were exquisite flowers in every color, fish and shell fish from the Pacific Northwest and Alaska (I never knew I wanted a little crayfish for a pet!), farm fresh eggs and cheeses, seasonal vegetables like asparagus and garlic scapes and a wide assortment of sweet fruits and fresh juices. We sampled as much as we could until finally deciding to buy a carton of very plump blackberries, which we then ate most of before the boat ever left the dock.
