I wasn’t sure what to expect from a dogsled ride but the enthusiasm of the dogs, like athletes at the start of a competition, was infectious. Whooshing over the snow, through the forest with the wind in your face is invigorating. My musher was very good at explaining the life, the care, and training of the dogs, as well as what mushing is all about. In addition to the dogs pulling the sled, I met the rest of the friendly canine “pilots” in the kennel area, an attractive bunch, for sure. The two in this photo are brothers.
