This British villa is famed as the birthplace of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II. It is now a museum that holds finds from the Paleopolis—the remains of the ancient city that surrounds the villa. Ruins are scattered in the wooded grounds of the estate itself, as well as just outside, and include temples dedicated to Hera, the wife of Zeus, and Poseidon, the god of the sea.
