Palais des congrès de Montréal is, in my opinion, the best place to take sunset photography in Montreal.
"I want to go to the convention center," my traveling companion sprang on me as we were on our way to dinner. Why would a person want to see a city's convention center? They're boring concrete structures usually blended into the blur of a city's architecture. How wrong I was.
As we walked into the Palais des congrès de Montréal, the rainbow-colored glass covering one side of the building was perfectly lit up as the sun began to set. The striking colors stretched across the room, permeating all of the corners. It was a photographer's dream. Sadly, the higher level overlooking the rainbow floors was closed, so I couldn't get a view from higher up.
