All Roads Lead From the Palacio Nacional
Packed with murals, fountains, and stained glass windows, the Palace Nacional de la Cultura, once the official seat of the Guatemalan president, is an extensive museum. Sculptures and paintings by famous Guatemalan artists adorn the many rooms of this free museum. The tour highlights how the number 5 is important in the design and brings to light the fact that all roads in Guatemala are measured from this point known as Kilometro Cero. Guides speak both Spanish and English and are helpful and friendly.
