Osmaniye is a small city located on the Silk Road between Adana and Gaziantep in Southeastern Turkey. Graced on one side by the Nur Mountains, it lies on the eastern edge of Cukurova, a region known for its rich agricultural production. Though there are many citrus and olive trees, as well as a plethora of other crops, Osmaniye is known for its peanut production. Stop by the peanut statue on the west side of town for a photo op as well as a nice view of the mountains. Don't forget to pick up some local chocolate covered peanuts at the otogar (bus station) or in a kiosk at the local mall, Park 328.
