This 172-acre cemetery overlooks Omaha Beach.
Omaha Beach is the very beach where many of the armed forces landed and many were killed in action during the June 6, 1944 D-Day invasion and battle.
When you arrive, sign the Visitors book in the Visitors building. Also visit the Chapel and the Memorial.
There is a stillness and a great silence at the cemetery. This is an unforgettable day trip.
There are several different tours available. I would plan one with my travel agent before I depart on my trip.
