Plane Hunting Adventure
Driving back from our glacier tour, we had already lost the daylight but we really wanted to find this old abdoned plane for some great photos. Pitch black, covered in snow, we still found it! Lit by stars and the full moon. This was an nice little adventure off the beaten path. Located off of Road 1, between 220 and 221.

Amazing view
On our way to Vik, we drove to see the abandoned wreck plane on the black beach. The drive in took us about half an hour from the main road, as the road wasn't in good conditions. Need to drive slowly to avoid big stones on the road. When we arrived, there was only another couple taking their wedding shots. We stayed here for about 20mins all by ourselves before 3-4 people arrived. We then drove 5mins to the black beach. We rented a 4x4 vehicle but we saw the other couple driving a small 2 wheel drive vehicle. So I think it's safe to drive 2wheel drive vehicle here, but just need to drive slowly.
