Seasonal California Meets Southern Italy in Napa Valley
It was my first dinner out in Downtown Napa (the new place to be in Napa Valley), and it set the bar very high for the rest of my stay. My dinner at Oenotri was one of the best I've ever had. From the salad of beets, arugula, and oranges, the fresh pasta, and the rabbit with chickpeas, to the wine pairings and the amazing chocolate torta, everything was perfect.
One of the reasons Oenotri's food is so delicious is that, like at most restaurants in the area, the menu is based only on what's seasonal, fresh, and local. The menu changes daily depending on what ingredients are coming in from the area. All the dishes are inspired by the cuisine of Southern Italy. If you visit the Napa Valley, this is definitely one place to put on your list to get a feeling for what makes the area's cuisine so memorable.
Oenotri serves lunch Mon.-Fri. and dinner daily, plus late-night pizza and drinks on Fridays and Saturdays.

Authentic Italian Food in Downtown Napa Valley
My friends and I were so lucky to get into Oenotri at the last minute. The restaurant serves some of the best Italian food to be had outside of Italy. Their salumi and pastas are made fresh daily right in the restaurant and they own a wood-fueled oven to make some of the most quality pizzas you'll taste. They focus on sustainable and locally-sourced ingredients while still focusing on authentic aspects of the southern region of Italy that make the food so special. Make a reservation!
