The Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club is a great place for a wedding. I say so because they held 3 of them the weekend I stayed there with my wife and teenage son.
If I had any advice for the newly married couples we saw, I’d suggest they come back after having children. For starters, their private Bay Pines Beach is not only a beautiful spot for wedding nuptials, its warm water and long stretch of sand is ideal for kids - especially when the tide goes out and the Brewster flats become a great place to search for shellfish (like oysters) the Cape is so famous for.
You’ll also want to explore the Cape Cod Bike & Rail Trail, which connects right next to the golf course. Because its flat and used by plenty of other families, it’s a good way to get kids comfortable who are just learning. And for those that do play, this Jack Nicklaus designed golf course is not to be missed.
For the little ones who prefer fresh water, there are plenty of swimming pools to choose from, including indoor facilities for when the weather doesn’t cooperate. This shouldn't be overlooked since the weather here can be quite unpredictable.
The accommodations and dinning options are also top notch. When the weather does permit, the outdoor Ocean Terrace is absolutely wonderful, for both bridal parties and young families.
Finally, I really appreciated that the concierge really encourages you to get off the resort and explore The Cape. As much as I love to do so, this was one weekend I lost all desire.
