The Art Deco Festival is a yearly event that celebrates the local style, vibe and people of Miami Beach. The event started in 1976 by the Miami Design Preservation League to attract visitors to Miami Beach’s Art Deco Historic District and to raise awareness and appreciation of the arts and culture of the Art Deco era
Today the festival takes place along Ocean Drive, where most of the classic hotels and buildings are located. Vendors, local businesses and entertainment line the streets. Art Deco Weekend draws close to 300,000 people for the three-day event. Look out for the next event in January.
Throughout the weekend book a guided tour or sign up for a film screening or an art deco lecture.
Browse Ocean Drive to purchase antiques and one-of-a-kind art. Take photos with the classic automobiles that line the streets during the Saturday morning parade.
