Nunobiki Falls

Even for the Japanese, Japanese cities can be overwhelming. All that concrete, the endless search for addresses (street addresses are based on when a building was finished, not its geographical order), the telephone hold music always being “Home on the Range.” Kobe, though, makes it easy to get out. Nunobiki Falls, a nature park and four-stepped waterfall, is surprisingly close to town. The only thing that keeps this place from getting too crowded is that it’s a bit of a hike up to the best viewing points.
