As an engineer and part-time photographer, I travel all over the world. I always try to see or capture the countries I am in whenever I can. One of my favorite travel destinations is Norway for the food, people and countryside.
I have traveled to Norway several times and every time I have taken "Norway in a Nutshell" which is a phenomenal tour that always delivers one way or another. The tours are a little pricey but when you realize you get to see so much of the countryside and all it has to offer, it is definitely worth the price. There are multiple distances that you can take, stay the night as you go, or a long day trip depending on how much time you have. You can even forward your luggage to the final destination so you can freely walk around at each stop along the way.
I have personally done Oslo to Flam to Voss and back to Oslo in a day and a one way from Oslo to Bergen.
Because I travel for business, my weekends are the only time for photographic excursions and I am completely at the mercy of the weather. This particular day it was rainy and chilly. It was the last tour before the winter season so the boat was almost empty, which allowed me to wander from deck to deck as the views changed. I was standing on the top deck, getting a little wetter than I like, when suddenly the rain stopped and the clouds parted to show one of the most breathtaking views I have seen. A truly memorable journey. I highly recommend it.
