Located on a hill on the outskirts of Tórshavn, the Faroe Islands’ National Museum is easy to reach and a must-see. The exhibits on display include original 15th-century pew-ends from Kirkjubøur and historical artifacts such as bone combs and beads from the Viking era. Across the road is a living history museum set within a preserved and charmingly rustic 1920s farmstead with more historical artifacts relating to farming in the Faroe Islands.
