The National Museum of Singapore, which is housed in a fine late-19th-century neoclassical building with a zinc-tiled and stained-glass dome, is the country’s oldest museum. A modern extension includes a long glass-ceilinged connector with views up to the dome. The collection spaces were revamped again in 2015, with more immersive exhibits that highlight Singaporean history and culture and include nearly 500 early-18th-century botanical and animal watercolor drawings.
