The Grand Reading Room
Long before it’s moniker of Music City, USA, Nashville was the Athens of the South. Opening in 2001, the Nashville Public Library nods to that tribute with its classical architecture, and magnificent spaces like the Grand Reading Room. Program highlights include award-winning author visits, courtyard concerts, art exhibitions, and an independent film series. A local bread shop/cafe, Provence, is housed here too. There is always a reason to visit this civic gem. Closed on Mondays.
