One of my favorite Taiwanese foods is the baozi, or simply, bao.
Baozi are steamed buns filled with tasty tidbits such as chicken, bean paste, curried meats, pork, vegetables, or custard. You can't eat just one!
I love bao so much, I've written about them several times and introduced a few of my family members and friends to their deliciousness.
Bao can be found almost anywhere in Taiwan, especially at places like night markets or convenience stores.
Though baozi are extremely popular in Taiwan, they're taking the world by storm!
The little steamed buns can be found throughout China (where they supposedly originated), Hong Kong, Malaysia, and even Chicago's Chinatown, just to name a few places. People around the world are discovering the wonders of bao.
