Nantang Old Street
Nantang Old Street
A lovely example of a traditional-style street, the majority of which have long since disappeared from the city. A great place to people watch (like the man diligently grooming his little white dog), try out new and weird-looking snacks (such as fried potato skewers), grab a pretty good coffee from the How Times Flies coffee shop and generally reminisce about what China might have looked like in the past. After all that you can venture back out into the utter construction chaos that surrounds the street (the new Ningbo South train station is being built nearby) and hope that this oasis of culture and tranquility isn’t bulldozed.
