Compared to Bogota, I was surprised to not see as much art on every corner. But when I did stumble upon a museum or gallery, it proved to be quite inspiring. The new Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín, houses a great collection of young and local modern art. I was really impressed by the space, which offers, small and large galleries, a few artist studios, bookstore, and cafe. Also, the museum is situated in an old industrial part of town parallel to a long stretch of green parks to lounge and relax in. The plan: see great art, grab a cold can of Club Colombia, sit in the park and watch the locals stroll by.
