A few blocks from my favorite White Plains, New York hotel The Ritz-Carlton, is a gem of an Italian Restaurant called Mulino’s. A favorite of the locals in-the-know, Mulino’s features attentive service, great drinks, a good cellar and some dishes still prepared with flair tableside. The cuisine is tied for first-place with the lovely interior of paneled wood, views to a koi pond, muted lighting, candlelight and beautiful bar. Try the steaks, or chicken from the multi-course menu and don’t forget the pasta course, or made-to-order Zeppoles for dessert. Open for lunch or dinner, reservations are recommended. Tell the owner, my friend Jimmy that I sent you.
