Enumclaw, Washington, is the best kept secret in all of Puget Sound. It is an "AFAR" small town at the foot of Mt. Rainier. 40 mins from Crystal Mountain (the biggest ski resort in the area) and 50 mins to downtown Seattle, it is the best in-between mountains and water country town in the area. This shot is taken at the top of the summit, just a gondola ride away from the ski lodge. When you step off the gondola and look up, you lose your breath at the sheer magnitude of "the mountain," so close that you feel you can touch her. On a clear day, you can truly see forever with Mt. Baker, Mt. Hood and St. Helen's in the distant snow-covered Cascade Mountain range. This is a $20 "do" not to be missed.
