To see Sicily properly, you need to rent a car and drive. This is not a problem until you get to Mt. Etna......very curvy steep incline so here is where we had an Italian guide drive us(strongly recommended). At the rest area(before the cable cars which are then needed to go further up) we met this elderly gentleman who was chiseling small sculptures from the ambient lava stones using simple metal chisels. The photo shows my wife and I, this elderly "sculpter" with is son, and the stone we bought from him which is now hanging in our house. It is a depiction of La Bocca della Verita(the Mouth of Truth) present in Rome; featured in the 1953 classic film, "Roman Holiday".
