We had dinner reservations at Al Contadino in Mitte, but arrived 20 minutes early. I remembered hearing that the restaurant had a sister wine bar, simply called Mozzerella Bar, around the corner so we decided to check it it out. Glad we did.
This is the type of place you stumble upon and then tell your friends that you found "a secret spot." The restaurant is more of an expanded Italian butcher shop and offers a small menu of delicious aged meats and cheeses, as well as fish and pasta.
The place seemed to be a local's hangout where everyone knew the owners and each other. It's the perfect place to sneak into for a glass of wine and some cheese before heading back to the "main restaurant" around the corner.
