Mountain Top

It's all about the superlatives at this attraction: It's the oldest, the tallest and one of the most famous sites on St. Thomas. Positioned at—you guessed it—the top of St. Peter Mountain, an impressive 640 meters (2,100 feet) above sea level, the site includes not just an observation deck, but a restaurant, a bar (known for banana daiquiris) and duty-free shopping, too. The sweeping vistas from here take in Puerto Rico and its neighbor Culebra, and extend all the way to the British Virgin Islands, to the east. Appropriately, this bird’s-eye-view perch is home to some very talkative parrots.
