On the morning of May 15th, we arrived at the Strawmarket to pick up our guest, Mr. Alan and his very good friend,Chris, for a charter scheduled from 9am-1pm. An hour or so had passed and we were out maybe 3 or 4 miles when the Captain spotted some birds--a promising sign.
As we approached the area one of the rods went off: We'd snagged a Mahi Mahi (pictured above). Chris got in the fighting chair and in a few minutes we had the fish in the boat.
As time went on we continued to follow the birds. They were following and feeding around a school of Yellowfin Tuna. They weren't biting, but we had a great time of it anyways. Our time was coming to an end and Mr.Alan decided to do a little bottom fishing, so we stayed out for an extra hour. That extra time paid out, and we caught Baracuda, Poorgy, Grunts and Hines.
The trip was a blast and Mr.Alan and Chris had a great time and said that they will come back again.
