Uncommon bars like Charlie’s and the Palm Beach nightclubs make it easy to overdo it in Aruba. The cure: Moomba’s Caribbean Pirate. This hangover-killing mix of spiced rum, brown cane sugar, Red Bull, lime and pineapple juice helps you rejuvenate like a pro.

Party like a local in Aruba
MooMba beach in the Noord region of Aruba looks every bit like a postcard during the day that you'd send home to friends and family: shades of blue, cruise ships with silky sails dotting the horizon, and swimmers.
At night, the beach and bar/restaurant becomes completely different, in a Clark Kent kind of way. Giant palapa roofs, pulsing music (much of it from the 1980's) and a large and ostentatious Heineken chandelier invites tourists and locals alike, although I saw more locals than anyone else because the area is still considered a hush hush place to party.
A makeshift wooden dance floor at the back of the bar ensures you'll be close to the DJ or live band, and of course the bartenders can fix you up with some of the best Aruba Arribas on the island.
As though that were not enough exercise, you can party through the night and flex your "Beach Tennis" muscles right next door.
