Two caveats if you decide to do lunch or dinner at M.J. Byrnes Irish Pub. This is not the place for a quiet evening with your heart’s desire. And you may find youself singing “O Danny Boy” before the evening’s through.
But come with your friends and you’ll have a blast.
Hardly surprising that the menu is pub fare, given the name of the rollicking establishment, but forget about some fake chain that tries to kiss the blarney stone. We’re talking the usual—shepherd’s pie and the like—but they also serve up the real deal: Irish stew, Dublin Bay Seafood Chowder with home-made Irish soda bread.
Wash it down with a pint of Guinness (or choose one of the other twenty imported drafts or a serious Irish whiskey), and your Irish eyes will be smiling.
A smile a mile wide.
