Minke Whales

Cruisers sailing the Ribbon Reefs during June and July have the rare opportunity to spot dwarf minke whales, which migrate to these tropical waters to birth their calves. These sleek, torpedo-like whales are the smallest of the baleen whales, growing no more than eight meters (25 feet) long. Whale-watching from the ship offers the chance to spot them spy-hopping, tail slapping and blowing at the surface.
