Conquer the Sites of Turkey in Two Hours at Miniaturk
Tower over the sites of Turkey like Gulliver, from Gulliver’s Travel at Miniaturk in Istanbul. This innovative open-air amusement park, located on the Golden Horn in Sütlüce, allows you to see 1:25 scale miniature models of significant Istanbul landmarks, hover over replica landscapes of Turkey and get up close to the architecture of the former Ottoman Empire.
Spend a few hours here to walk the Bosporus Bridge, visit South Eastern Turkey’s Nemrut and Mardin, peer into Istanbul's modern structures like Ataturk Airport or the Galatasaray Football Stadium, and more. Entry fee is 10TL and you need your ticket to activate commentary around the site. Check the Miniaturk website for details on how to reach the site by bus from Eminönü and Taksim. You will need an Istanbulkart for buses. Fares are 1.95TL per person.
You can also reach Miniaturk via the Golden Horn ferry from Eminönü (3TL per person/1.95TL with an Istanbulkart). Disembark at the Sütlüce pier and continue walking up the Golden Horn for 20 minutes. Taxi’s are also available for door to door service.
If you’re planning a family day out, pair Miniaturk with a visit to the Rahmi M Koç Industrial Museum on the Golden Horn three kilometres south of Miniaturk. This impressive museum exhibits planes, trains, automobiles and more from a bygone era.
