Chefs have come and gone over the years and with them the seafood-based cuisine has changed. One thing that has remained, however, at this over-water restaurant is the enchanting views. In one direction there's the illuminated sail-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel jutting into the sea and directly ahead the Madinat Jumeirah complex -- captivating at night! - sprawling along the coast.
Located at the end of a purpose-built wooden wharf, Pierchic is Dubai's most romantic restaurant -- regardless of what's on the menu. The best tables are on the decks - a must during the cooler winter months. (In December and January, you might actually need a pashmina for your shoulders.) During the hotter months, reserve a table inside with the best views.
The current head chef, Rosalind Parsk, worked for Michelin-starred British chefs Gordon Ramsay, Marco Pierre White and Gary Rhodes, so as you'd expect, the food is sublime, especially the fish. Whatever you do, start with freshly shucked oysters and bubbly, and order Omani lobster if it's on the menu.
