Mikes Four Star BBQ in Historic Port Gamble serves up Mt Rainer Size portions of slow cooked BBQ goodness on the Kitsap Peninsula. The restaurant in a remodeled vintage gas station spells relief to those carnivores craving more turf and less surf.
The best way to enjoy Mike's is with a friend (or 4) to share a platter of home cooked Beans, Slaw, Bread and the following:
The Three Way -- Ribs, Chicken, Brisket $30
The Four Way -- Three Way +Pork $38
The Five Way -- Four Way +Sausage $45
I am from the northwest so I can't comment if this is "Authentic" Texas, Carolina, Memphis Nashville... etc. The five start reviews for Four Start BBQ mean no matter where you're from you'll agree this is some "Damn Fine BBQ".
The idea place to walk off your meat feast is the picturesque village of Port Gamble founded in 1851, popular for weddings, kitting store, kayak rentals and Mikes BBQ, it's a great 20 minute amble around the small village.
