Memory Lane 1940s Heritage Village
This re-creation of an Eastern Shore village paints a vivid picture of country living as it was in the 1940s—complete with a one-room schoolhouse, a general store and period cars. Farm animals roam the grounds, and costumed guides offer demonstrations of age-old crafts. At the cookhouse, you can feast on fish cakes and beans or "hodgepodge" (a Nova Scotian one-pot meal of beans, carrots and potatoes in heavy cream).
