Picture perfect Meissen
Everywhere you turn in Saxony, there is a picture perfect view. The town of Meissen, of only thirty thousand inhabitants and home to the Meissen porcelain, is no exception. I particularly loved the view of the church from the bridge and walking around the narrow, colorful streets. Spring is the perfect time to visit. While walking about you get overwhelmed by the smell of the lilac trees planted in most gardens. Stroll through Meissen
Walking through Meissen is a real pleasure. Narrow alleyways, beautiful, colorful houses adorned with flowers, cobblestone streets...it's very warm and inviting. The best part is that it doesn't feel touristy at all, you can really get lost between locals. I cannot speak for the summer season, but Spring in Meissen is very charming.
