Marigot Bay

This could be one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean. The deep blue water is flanked by steep hills overgrown with lush, verdant tropical forest. Marigot’s long, narrow shape has long offered protection to ships during storms, and legend has it that both pirates and colonial naval forces would hide out here to escape pursuing ships. Today, island-hopping sailors come ashore to kick back at the beachfront bars and resorts.
