While living in Hungary I fell in love with the people, food, culture and especially the architecture. Budapest has many architectural masterpieces lined up on the river banks of the Danube.
Feast your eyes on Parliament, Buda Castle and the beautiful Chain Bridge.
Margrit Island is a wonderful place to visit in of itself. A small island in the middle of Budapest. There are many paths for walking, running or biking. Small pop-up vendors sell snacks, ice cream and cold beers during the summer months. With a small beach on the south shore for sun bathing and various open spaces, it is a great way to unwind after a long day of touring around the city.
Finish your evening with a breathtaking view of the city as the sun sets behind the Buda Hills. Afterwards, stay for a few minutes to take in the skyline as each of these beautiful buildings are lit up, glowing into the nighttime sky.
