One of my fondest memories from my semester in Nantes was visiting the Marché de Talensac, a partly-covered market selling everything from meats and cheeses to paintings, every Sunday with my good friend Teresa. We'd stroll around, checking out what local producers had to offer, and then finish with a final lap to pick up some borek, a Turkish pastry dish here made in half circles with vegetables, cheese, and/or meat inside. A crêpe made for a simple and traditional dessert, a perfect finish to a very multicultural and memorable lunch!
