When staying in places like Fiji, I am ever hopeful that the international hotels and resorts end up benefiting and enriching the lives of local inhabitants. Fiji is a great example of such patronage, and you can experience it firsthand with a visit to MaloMalo Public School.
This school has been almost entirely built and sustained by area hotels. Resort guests can even donate books, stationery, toys, computers, and clothing to the school.
A school visit is enjoyable for both guests and kids. Here you can chat with the teachers, tour the school, and see a small slice of "real" Fiji.
