Banh mi is a staple Vietnamese dish and there are vendors on every street corner selling it. In Hoi An, there are two famous shops selling banh mi and there is a lot of debate about which is the "best". Personally, the banh mi at Madam Khanh, aka the Banh Mi Queen, is the best I've ever had and will probably ever have.
Baguettes that are perfectly crisp on the outside but soft on the inside are just one of the many perfect ingredients of this banh mi. The pate is freshly made, the meat is delicious, and don't forget to ask them to add chili sauce.
If you're thirsty, get a iced Vietnamese coffee to go with your banh mi. You won't regret it.
